Description:

Competitive team, field hockey, a girls only sport, is often described as "soccer with sticks".  The big difference being that the ball must be hit within the striking circle to count as a goal.  The sticks are wooden or composite with a small round hook; one side of which is flat.  Players may only strike the ball on the flat side of the stick.  Like soccer, field hockey is a fairly easy sport to play on its most basic level but takes a lot of practice to be really good.  Because of this it has always attracted a wide range of athletes at Edlin.
