Description:

Competitive team, there is no body contact in girls lacrosse although they may check the stick away from the body to dislodge the ball from the opposing players stick.  To insure proper form and prevent injury, leagues often limit checking to 7-8th grade girl teams only.  This varies from league to league.  Lacrosse is a fast pace, high scoring game that is hard to play until the basic skills of throwing, catching, and cradling are learned but once learned is a real crowd pleaser.  For the last ten years, lacrosse has been the fastest growing sport in the country.
