Hour of Code

Every year our students take a day to participate in Edlin School’s Hour of Code.

One of our parents, Mr. Vishwas Lele, was at the school for the entire day to show our students how to create a simple cell phone app that sent and received a text message.

In our computer lab, our students then used other software to code their own programs.

Discussions during the day included how artificial intelligence was being used to determine if an image was either a car or a minivan and how medical students were using 3D imaging and virtual reality to better educate themselves on the effects of tumors within the brain.

Thank you, Mr. Lele for selflessly taking to time today to explain the importance of coding to our students. Your passion for coding was exciting and contagious.
