Monday November 13th, our students got outside for some hands-on learning. Edlin’s annual Pumpkin Chunkin’ combines learning about physics concepts with tons of fun! At our different stations students built their own miniature catapults, learned about different classes of levers, slingshot water balloons, and the most fun part got to launch pumpkins from our school’s trebuchet. It was great to see our 8th graders teaching the younger students as well as seeing the excitement on all the faces as pumpkins soared through the air before they splattered on the ground. Thank you to Mr. Epp for organizing this event and to Mr. Leiva for all his hard work loading the trebuchet.
