Edlin School recently completed a transformative 10-week residency with the renowned Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), immersing sixth and eighth grade students in the nuances of Shakespeare’s timeless plays. Guided by a skilled Teaching Artist from STC, students explored acting, language, and design elements using As You Like It as their creative foundation. The ten workshops allowed students to make personal connections and take ownership of the experience, fostering an appreciation for the art of adaptation.
The culmination of this experience was a performance on the grand stage of the Shakespeare Theatre Company, where students showcased their newfound skills. The Residency Festival Day celebrated creativity with captivating student performances, displays of their work, and valuable opportunities for our school to engage with the larger community. Edlin is immensely proud of our students for their dedication and creativity.
