Winter Concert

Edlin School’s Music Department and Mr. Epp’s Ukelele Elective Class put on quite a show last night. We had five performing groups entertaining parents and faculty at the beautifully decorated Reston Presbyterian Church. The concert began with our private piano students and our esteemed Oberlin College educated piano instructor, Mr. David Norfrey.

The Bands came to the stage next, led by Mr. Josh Cohen, a world renown Baroque Trumpeter, and Mr. David Anderson, a graduating GMU music student. The beginning band played Hot Crossed Buns, Lightly Row, Good King Wenceslas and Jolly Old Saint Nick. Next on order came the Intermediate Band and played Frosty the Snowman, Greensleeves, Deck the Halls and Let it Snow.

The big surprise for the evening was the Ukulele ensemble under the direction of Mr. Ryan Epp, our Science Director. They performed Hallelujah and Feliz Navidad.

Lastly, Ms. Larisa Mangionne, an award-winning chorus conductor, expertly led the Edlin Chorus singing Tongo, Remembering Decembers, Once upon a December, and Jingle Bell Rock.

The Concert was very well received and enjoyed by everyone and we look forward to doing it all again in the Spring! Please come and join us!
